TVB Magic

Background

TVB Magic is a Malaysian channel operated by Astro and TVBI, which broadcasts outsourced drama programs and variety shows. It provides subtitles in Malay, Chinese and English. It was launched on June 19, 2023 at 6:30 PM, and is available on Astro and NJOI, as well as Astro Go and On Demand.

Visuals: On a white gradient background, multiple salmon, orange, yellow, lime, and cyan blocks slowly fly towards the camera and come close together. The screen then cuts to a view where the blocks form a circle as we pan over them. Another view shows that the blocks had formed a thick ring with an "M" in it. The screen then cuts to yet another view of the blocks, as the camera rotate to reveal that the blocks has formed the "tvb Magic" logo, with the "a" over the ring. The blocks flash and turn into the actual logo, with the ring being made up of salmon to cyan shapes, and the text being gray. Multiple more blocks can be seen flying at the left of the screen.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The sequence starts with a twelve-note marimba tune, followed by a forty-eight-note one, accompanied by trumpet and piano noises, and finally a three-note trumpet tune. A choir can be heard throughout the ident.
