Background

Spike was a Japanese video game developer and publisher. Most of the staff were part of Human Entertainment. In April 1, 2012, the company merged with Chunsoft to become Spike Chunsoft.

Logo (December 18, 1997-February 2, 2012)

Visuals: It depends on the game, but the logo is a crude drawing of what appears to be a oval with 2 antennas and a unidentifiable object above it. In the oval is the jumbled, crude font of "Spike", all in black with the "p" in red.

Technique: Depends on the variant, but usually none.

Audio: A different tune depending on the game with an announcer yelling out the name or silence or the intro of the game.

Availability: Seen on various games throughout its lifespan, including the original PSP version of Trigger Happy Havoc: Danganronpa, Fire Pro Wrestling, King of Coliseum, and various games in published in Japan.
