Perspective Films

1st Logo
(1971-1983)

• 

Logo: On a black background, a thick blue (or green) line with a white outline appears on the left side of the screen and draws a stylized "P" while zooming out and going up a little. "perspective films" appears in a lowercase, stylized, white font to the right of the "P". Below it, the text "This film may not be copied or televised without written permission." appears below at the same time as "perspective films".

Variants:

• Sometimes, the text is not seen below. This is true for the early version.
• "films" may be absent, leaving just "perspective".
• A zoomed out still variant appears at the end of films. It may also appear closer to the corner.
• Sometimes, the logo may be superimposed and partially transparent at the end of the credits. This is where the latter version got it's appearance from.
• An early version had the "P" being a single color, starting off white before turning light grey when the text appears. Thanks to film deterioration, the white may be pink sometimes.
• An B&W variant exists.
  

FX/SFX: The line drawing and zooming.

Music/Sounds: A four note synth tune followed by a series of repeated "beep" like sounds. The still version has either the end theme of the film or none.

Availability: Rare. It can be seen on several different educational 15mm films, like the Watercolor Painting and The Writer in America series of films, with the former having the early version, while the latter has the later version. The B&W variant appeared on To Be A Man, while the other ones are unknown where they came from.

2nd Logo
(1983-1984)

Logo: On a black background, several outlines of the "p" logo from before zoom towards the screen, getting smaller and smaller as well as being multicolored. When they're finished zooming into place, "perspective films" appears in the lower right corner of the screen, just off center from the "p" in yellow/white (hard to tell due to film deterioration).

Variant: A still version exists.

FX/SFX: The "p" outlines zooming in.

Music/Sounds: A synth flute tune that gets higher pitched with each note, with the last being held out

Availability: Extremely rare. The still version appeared on Metropolitian Cats, while the animated variant is unknown as of right now.
