1st Intro (Febuary 10, 1985-Febuary 9, 1986)

Visuals: On a blue background, an italic "H" is shown at the left. The horizontal line of the "Н" extends to the right of the screen, and the Russian text "ИНФОРМАЦИОННЫЙ ВЫПУСК", with a black outline, starts scrolling from right to left in front of the line. Meanwhile, the letters of "овости" wipe in next to the "Н" from left to right. The "ИНФОРМАЦИОННЫЙ ВЫПУСК" text appears scrolling twice in a row, and stops at the center of the ribbon during the third time it appears.
Variant: An early still variant exists, where the logo has a dark blue and it's placed on a light yellow background, with the "ИНФОРМАЦИОННЫЙ ВЫПУСК" text being red.
Technique: 2D computer animation with chyron effects. None for the early variant.
Audio: A rendition of the Patrioticheskaya Pesnya anthem of the Russian SSR.
Audio Variant: None for the early variant.
2nd Intro (Febuary 10, 1986-December 31, 1989)

Visuals: On a blue background, the white text "НОВОСТИ" is shown scrolling from right to left, while two parts of an "Н" draw in, leaving space for the scrolling text. Two horizontal lines then draw in from the meeting sides of the "Н" while the "НОВОСТИ" text appears scrolling again, and these extend to a rounded border with both lines meeting and joining at the left. The "НОВОСТИ" text appears for the third time and settles still.
Technique: Cel animation with computer and chyron effects.
Audio: The Time, Forward! theme composed by Georgy Sviridov, also used on the Vremya news intros.
