Background: New World Animation was the final name for Marvel Productions, starting in 1993. In 1996, New World Entertainment was purchased by News Corporation and was folded into Fox. However, the Family Filmworks division (which included New World Animation and Marvel Films Animation) was folded into Fox Children's Productions, which merged with Saban Entertainment to form Fox Family Worldwide. In 2001, The Walt Disney Company purchased Fox Family Worldwide and the company became ABC Family Worldwide.
