Background

Maverick Television was a production company with offices in the UK and the US, founded in 1994. It was acquired by All3Media in 2007.



1st Logo (January 8, 1996-2004)

Visuals: On a black background or the background depending on the show is a shiny sewer lid with the letter "m" in it. Below the lid is the stacked text "MAVERICK television".

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo also shares the screen with other logos (including the 1988 and 1997 BBC and 1999 Channel 4 "Square" logos).
  • On some shows that they produced, the logo is in-credited.

Technique: Digital ink and paint.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme or none.

Availability:

  • This logo made its first known appearance on Trade Secrets and it was later seen on their shows that they produced from the 1990s onwards such as Children's Hospital and Elephant Hospital, among others.
  • The logo was also seen on the TV special Long Haul.

2nd Logo (April 10, 2004-December 2, 2013)

Visuals: On a black background or the background depending on the show is a red circle inside a white and black ring with the letter "m" inside. Underneath the circle, it reads either "A Maverick Television Production" or "A Maverick TV Production" with the station info below.

Byline: Starting in 2007, the byline for All3Media is added under the corporate logo, reading "an All3MEDIA company"

Technique: Digital ink and paint.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Seen on programmes produced by the company from this period such as 10 Years Younger, Embarrassing Bodies, series 1 and 2 of Operation Ouch!, How to Look Good Naked, among others.

3rd Logo (March 11, 2014-)

Visuals: A silver ring flips to reveal the zooming in text "maverick" with the red word "tv" on top of the letter "k". As it does so the ring reveals a black circle ring appears with the red circle with the letter "m" inside forming the same logo.

Variant: Sometimes, this logo shares the screen with other logos (including the 2013 ITV logo).

Bylines:

  • 2014: "an All3MEDIA company"
  • 2014-2021: "an all3media company"
  • 2021-: "An All3Media Company" with a vertical line in the middle and the new All3Media logo on the left.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme.

Availability: It appears on series 3 and onwards of Operation Ouch!, The American Barbecue Showdown, Chrisley Knows Best
