Background

A production/film sales company started by Mark Damon after his previous company, Vision International, folded. On October 10, 2003, the company changed its name to Media 8 Entertainment, which in turn, filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in April of 2012.

1st Logo (September 1, 1993-Late 90s/Early 2000s)

Nickname: "The D Globe", "Oversized Stretched Earth"

Logo: A golden oval globe frame zooms out upwards while shines, and then M, D (which covers the globe frame), and P fade in one by one. The yellow line draws below it, while "WORLDWIDE" fades below.

Variant: On some video releases of films produced by this company such as Inner Sanctum 2, "Home Video" appears in place of "Worldwide."

FX/SFX: The zooms, the fades, and the line drawing.

Music/Sounds: None or the opening theme of the movie.

Availability: Found on Blood for Blood, Bad Blood (1994), Inner Sanctum 2, and Shootfighter 2, among others. It is unknown if it appeared on foreign prints of The Jungle Book (1994), which they co-produced with Disney; it does not appear on the Australian VHS, though the print logo appears on the packaging.
