Background

Kinofilm was founded in 1996 by Russian immigrant Mikhail Shindel, a former producer at Acme Filmworks. In 1997, the studio was contracted to produce Cartoon Network's original series Mike, Lu & Og.

Logo (November 6, 1998-May 27, 2001)

Visuals: On a black background, a 2x4 grid of squares is seen, all in multiple colors and having a bold black "O" in the top right square. The squares change colors as they zoom out, causing more letters to pop up until they form "KinO" in the top row, and "fiLm" in the bottom row, all made from random fonts and colors. The entire logo then changes many times to random fonts, colors, and even pictures resembling the letter somewhat. Finally, all the squares change one by one to become white, and the letters being in a red "shadow" font.

Variant: On the pilot for Mike, Lu & Og, a small copyright notice appears under the logo on the right.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: It was only seen on Mike, Lu & Og, which was last seen on Cartoon Network on Demand between 2017 and 2020.
