Background

JAM Media is an Irish animation studio based in Dublin. They have produced many shows and short films. The company was founded in 2002, and also has a UK division as well.

1st Logo (2009-2015?)

Logo: On a white background, we see a jar filled with red jam that has 3 seeds inside it. Under the jar is the text "JAMMedia" (with "JAM" in red), and below that is the slogan "motion innovation".

Variants: All of these remove the slogan.

  • On Roy, the logo is still and placed above the CBBC logo, with the words "for BBC" below the JAM logo and a copyright notice under the CBBC logo.
  • Another version exists on Baby Jake, with the Darrall Macqueen logo on the left, the JAM logo on the right, and the CBeebies logo below in the middle. The word with is between the Darrall Macqueen and JAM logos, along with the bold text for BBC above the CBeebies logo and a copyright notice at the bottom.
  • A similar 3 logo variant exists on Tilly and Friends with the JAM logo on the left, the Walker Productions logo on the right and the CBeebies logo under them in the middle. This version has no additional text other than a copyright notice.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Fairly common. Seen on Pic Me. The variants appear on Roy, Baby Jake and Tilly and Friends.

Legacy: None.

2nd Logo (2014?- )

Logo: On a yellow background, we see a purple jam jar with some jam slowly dripping down from it. Next to this is the word "jam" in black. A lid falls on to the jar, making it shake, and 3 drops of jam fly out of it. 2 land on the ground, and one lands on the "a". The one on the "a" then drips, and some falls off of it.

Variants:

  • On Roy, the same variant from before is used, except for the text below the JAM logo reading "for" and the logo being replaced with this one. For this variant, the logo will sometimes have something on it such as an egg or some 3D glasses.
  • On Little Roy, a crumpled up piece of paper replaces the yellow background, and the CBeebies and CBBC logos are under the logo. The word "A" is above the JAM logo, with "Production for" below it and a copyright notice at the bottom of the screen under the CBeebies and CBBC logo. The logo animates as usual here.
  • There is a still, in-credit version.

FX/SFX: The lid falling on to the jar and the jam dripping/falling out of the jar. None for the 1st and 3rd variants.

Music/Sounds: TBA.

Availability: Common. Can be found on Becca's Bunch and Jessy and Nessy. The in-credit version appears on Zig & Zag and it’s short spin-off series Zig & Zag: Zogcasts. The other variants can be found on Roy and the spin-off series Little Roy.

Legacy: None.
