Background

Guerrilla Kids International Distribution Syndicate (abbreviated as GKIDS) is a New York-based independent film distributor founded in 2008 that focuses on "sophisticated, indie" animated movies.

Logo: On a black background, we see a white ring with "GKIDS" appearing in a white font.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Appears on all movies distributed by the company, including international animated films such as Song of the Sea and Boy and the World, French movies like April and the Extraordinary World and My Life as a Zucchini, and several anime movies, including all of the Studio Ghibli catalog. It also appears on the Blu-Ray boxsets of Future Boy Conan, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Nadia: Secret of Blue Water. The Universal Pictures logo usually precedes it on pre-2018 home media releases, except for the Studio Ghibli re-issues, as they are distributed through Shout! Factory instead of Universal.
