For me, it was around 2016 and I think it was a top 10 scariest logos video but I can't exactly remember who created it, but I remember that it is a classic scary logos list. I watched other scariest logos lists on YouTube not so long after.

What's yours? Just curious as always.

I can't even remember now. It was, like, 14 years ago.

From what I remember, it was July 2011 when I first discover this community. Don't know how exactly I lead myself into, but I do remember the first videos I have seen relating to closing logos, those being RobloxMaster642's NBC logo history and JohnnyL80's history of Columbia Pictures Television's logos. It wasn't until the end of the year when I discovered this site and remembered doing MSPaint edits centered around the site's layout and sometimes logos such as PBS.

Some categories I have grown great interest would come to my attention in the coming years. I think I've heard of scary logos since when I heard of closing logos but didn't grew obsessed with it until September 2013. Cheesy logos would grab my attention sometime in April 2016 whereas Indian and Pakistani logos arrived around aforementioned year and April 2018 respectively.

As a matter of fact, this dragged me into this "child web" which I have tried getting out of in the last few years due to its infamous reputation, but aware that there are sane members of this community.

Shamefully I must admit, Klasky Csupo coined up my fascination in logos when I was 8, I was scared of their logos until that age, which is when they turned into a fascination. and I looked up other logos that people felt the same way about, to the point where I saw the old Nightmare Logo Collections. as I have grown older my fascination has not faded, but rather expanded onto the likes of TV and Film

I think my fascination for logos subconsciously coined up my love for horror movies too XD

But as for me, Logo Sparta Remixes got me into the community. I was REALLY into Sparta Remixes back then, then this guy (who I unfortunately forgot the name of, but the thumbnail was something in a light green outlined square with text underneath the logo, I think it was the name of the remix)'s logo Sparta Remix was recommended to me. I watched it, and I loved it. It got me interested in seeing more about the companies behind them, so I searched up more information on the companies he remixed. And it brought me to this website. I was FASCINATED by how many logos there were out there, and just searched random letters and saw what companies would pop up. And THAT is what got me into this community. Note that I was 5 back then, so I was fascinated by pretty much anything. But THIS sparked my interest the most.

As I have stated a couple of times, Little Airplane Productions is what introduced me to logos.

Whereas logo communities, I weren't that interested in them, but I was for dream logos.

I curiously happened to stumble across it through the old CLG wiki and a few other parts.

Sorry for the late reply, but I've been interested in logos ever since I was a kid. However, I didn't even know there was a logo community until the late 2010's, I saw a few logo remix videos, Klasky-Csupo compilations, but I didn't know about CLG/AVID until I think around 2018-ish. Then, I got more involved and I read up on the many articles. Now, I'm an editor, so the story is complete.

I was always fascinated by logos since I was little and I discovered the Closing Logo Group on Yahoo!Groups back in 1999 and joined, and I've followed the community ever since. Yeah, that's right, I'm older than the Windows XP hills.

Well, here's how I got into logos and motion graphics:

I was like 7 or somethin, and my dad had on Jeopardy. At the end of it was the CBS Television Distribution and SPT logos. I thought those were cool (even though my toddler-like mind at the time hated the SPT music) and I liked them a lot. I then began doing cheap potato-recordings of the ends of shows with an XACTI camcorder my dad gave me (I still have it!) and at that point I really got to catch on with logos. I started watching logo history videos from the greats (CCG88, JohnnyL80, TR3X) and they were cool, so I decided to pursue making logo history videos (I only made one before I got terminated!). I kinda took a hiatus when CCG88 stopped making Logo Evolutions, but when he came back with his RLEs, I began to gain an interest in logos again.

I didn't really know about the CLG Wiki until about 2019, when i decided to go to the website (I never made an account on the old site). I liked how people actually wrote the descriptions because I am a very avid (no pun intended) reader.

After Cam (CCG88) stopped making RLEs, I moved to other logo history channels like JontyMaster, Alden, and DellFan, which were great, but didn't really capture the aesthetic of Cam's old RLEs.

When CLG moved to Miraheze, I finally decided to make an account, and I've been stuck with my username since. So yeah, that's how I got into logos.

Honestly, I feel like telling a bit more about my origin story than just how I found the community in the first place, as I think it might interest some of you out there.

I first found out about the logo community - or a glimpse of it via JohnnyL80's logo history of Revue, Universal and MTE logos from 2010 or so. I was fascinated with the MTE logo back then. I then occasionally saw other logo histories such as SCL's/Stunt Fan's Warner Home Video history back in 2014, and a NBC ident captured by danf62465. My first time encountering AVID (back when it was called CLG wiki) was in 2015. I was curious about the pages, but the thing that made me quite intrigued back then was the dream logos portion of the wiki. I would only register in May 2019, as I had enough age to join that year. That same month I would find a Discord server previously owned by a guy who formerly named themselves EDC4 (a banned figure, bit of a common theme in this community unfortunately). Additionally I would discover a then-popular YouTuber by the name of CCG88. In fact, I established good relations with him for a good while, as I joined his Discord and all was going well. I became friends with figures like TR3X for a bit too!

Now, many of you probably know me as a logo hunter - and now we've reached the chapter where I began learning those skills. Back in August/September 2019 CCG88 was working on an episode of Refurbished Logo Evolution that was focused on GoodTimes Entertainment. He claimed that there was not much information for the 3rd logo, but after finding a lot of footage and variants for it, he then gave me a shoutout on the video.. that is no longer in the description of said video. I will explain why in a moment! Anyways, I helped him discover a few more variants, and eventually opened a channel on the 28th of September, 2019, posting not only my GoodTimes finds, but several others.

However, things would drift apart with my relationship with CCG soon after that video was made. On the 12th of October, 2019, I joined CLG's old Discord, and scrolled through the announcements. What I saw was awful - turns out the guy I worked with did.. you know. I won't go over it, it was allegations at the time, but I believed those allegations. I also noticed how "everyone associating with CCG got banned from CLG back in the day" (this wasn't entirely true), and so, out of fear, asked TR3X to make CCG remove every mention of me from their captures' descriptions, and as such, I then said goodbye to both CCG and TR3X for the last time. I haven't seen the latter son of a gun on Discord since, kinda curious as to where he went.

Anyway, once the end of 2019 rolled around, EDC4 eventually invited me to a DM group with several other folks - most notably, SoraThePanFloof and muv. I won't go through as to what happened in the group, but in short, some great friends, discussions and logo discoveries were made in the group - including the first HD quality discovery for the 1985 Honeymooners Viacom logo, and that one time where I (and technically muv) found the alleged 1985 prototype for Warner Home Video (this ended up being just an extended version). Since then, I've become a Discord moderator for AVID, taught and hunted with many logo hunters, the likes of David's Logo Archive and improved multiple pages throughout the years. My most notable contribution at this point may be the page for Fox World Productions, as that page received an overhaul compared to it's initial revisions back when I first touched it in 2019. And hell, that contribution was not just me - I had assembled an entire team of logo hunters who found more and more leads to the logo. You can see a bit of what we found in a video I compiled a year ago here. It explains basically the entire story of that page up to that point. I'm still working on the second part to that episode, but that is going to take a good while to get out. I thank everyone who has hunted with me! It's been fun :)

And that's pretty much the entire story of me in this community. Where am I now? I haven't been as active in the community as of recent, and that's simply due to me unfortunately not being as interested in logo hunting than in previous years. Life has followed it's own adventures, and I do fondly see my logo hunting era as one of those. This doesn't mean that I haven't quit! I've just been more quiet than ever - man uploading those dang captures isn't as fun as you guys think ^^ Aaaaaannnd yeah. That's that!

I remember my autistic self watching videos of logos in reverse in childhood. The obsession then spread to logos in general, especially of film companies. In fact, watching logo videos made me a fan of film and tape artifacts lol.

As of now, it's a thing that comes and goes, but only very recently did I decide to actually JOIN the community. I'm thankful I did.

My big stupid old reply to this is still on this fourm >:(

Anyways, the earliest memory I can recall of enountering the community online was a Noggin Nick Jr Logo Collection Effects video when I was like 5 or 6, back when I was getting fond of logos thanks to this. Another one I can kinda remember is this weird effects video with Spin Master, Klasky Csupo, MTM and Nickelodeon (this is how I got introduced to the Klasky Csupo logo. Not scary.)

I also learned about Playhouse Disney and the multitide of PBS Kids idents (then fairly new) with this, so I guess the answer is YouTube for me.

A Logo History Video, that's all.

To explain, I was watching a DreamWorks Animation film ranking. I really liked it. So then, I searched for a DreamWorks Animation logo history video. From that moment on, which was during either August or September, I discovered more logos, with the more uncanny and unnerving being the most interesting to me.
