Background

Dude Perfect is an American sports and comedy group, mainly consisting of Tyler Nathan "TT" Toney, twins Cory and Coby Cotton, Garrett "Purple Hoser" Hilbert, and Cody Martin "Tall Guy" Jones [1], all of whom are former college roommates at Texas A&M University. Their headquarters reside in Frisco, Texas. Their channel consists of various trick shots, stereotypes, stunts, and battles, in which the members compete against each other in a good-natured game or contest, comprising different sports and a unique set of rules.



1st Logo (May 9, 2009-February 17, 2010)

Visuals: On a white background, there is a black, rounded "d" and "p" connecting on its corners, resembling the early DP logo, which is against 2 red transparent painted rings with various small white rings superseding it. Right next to the "DP" logo are "DUDE" on the left and "PERFECT" on the right, both of which are in a futuristic-like font. A copyright notice may also be seen in the bottom-right corner.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: A female announcer saying "Dude Perfect.", which would later become the main soundtrack for most of its intros.

Availability: Made its debut appearance on Ranch Edition and its latest appearance on Dude Perfect Panda | Episode 3.

Legacy: This was the first and only logo to not use the modern "DP" logo.

2nd Logo (November 12, 2010-March 17, 2011)

Visuals: On a black background, a symmetrical, stylized "dp" in light blue with the trademark symbol on the top right corner can be seen in the middle, along with "DUDE" on the left, and ""PERFECT" on the right sides. A copyright notice can be seen in the bottom-right corner.

Variant: A zoomed-out and less saturated version exists. There is also no copyright notice to be seen.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: Same as the previous logo.

Availability: It was first seen on Epic Trick Shots and lastly on WORLD RECORD Reliant Stadium Shot.

Legacy: The very first intro that contains the iconic trademark "dp" icon.

3rd Logo (March 25-May 10, 2011)

Visuals: On a black background, the same stylized "dp" logo but in white against a rounded red gradient square, where we can also see the same text but in white on the both sides, also in white.

Variant: On Epic Football Trick Shots, the logo abruptly appears after Tyler Toney leaves after doing a football trick shot on a matchstick.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: Either the same as the previous logo or the music/soundtrack accompanying the video.

Availability: Only seen on Dallas Cowboys Edition and lastly on Epic Foot Ball Trick Shots.

4th Logo (November 9, 2012-April 12, 2013)

Visuals: On a black background, the same stylized "dp" logo as well as "DUDEPERFECT" can be seen, both of which are separated by a white vertical line.

Variant:

  • On BEST of BLOOPERS, "PRESENTS" can be seen underneath.
  • Some videos have the intro's colors inverted.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: Either the same as the previous logo or the music/soundtrack accompanying the video.

Availability: First seen on BASEBALL EDITION and lastly on NASCAR Trick Shot Battle.

5th Logo (May 8, 2013-July 8, 2014)

Visuals: On white background, 6 silhouettes consisting of the 5 men from the crew along with Panda, their mascot, zooms out from the viewer. As it slowly stops zooming, a black bar emerges from the right side and moves to the bottom-left portion of the silhouettes, constantly spinning while at it, which then releases the same "dp" on its right side and "DUDEPERFECT" on its left once it stays at the bottom.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The music/soundtrack accompanying the video along with the same female announcer saying "Dude Perfect.".

Audio Variant: On some videos, the female announcer is not present.

Availability: First seen on MASCOT SCHOOOL and lastly on Old Office Edition.

6th Logo (October 28, 2014-February 20, 2018)

Visuals: On a grey background with a spotlight in the middle, a black, CGI render of the stylized "dp" can be seen rotating 360 degrees counterclockwise. While at it, "DUDEPERFECT" in white glitches in at the bottom-right corner of the "dp". It eventually slowly stops as it faces forward, revealing the entire Dude Perfect logo. It glitches once more, transitioning to the video.

Variant: The logo may vary in speed depending on the video.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Various glitching noises from the start, along with the same female announcer saying "Dude Perfect.". Even more glitching sounds can be heart at the end. There may also be a soundtrack accompanying the video.

Audio Variant: On some videos, the female announcer is not present.

Availability: The intro can be seen on almost every video they've made, where it made its debut appearance on Glow In The Dark Edition and lastly on Football vs Soccer Trick Shots.

Legacy: This would eventually become the most well-known intro on the channel, mainly thanks to its longevity.

7th Logo (March 27, 2018-November 9, 2021, April 15, 2023-)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a gray baseball with cyan stripes, ripping out to reveal a sword, next we see a basketball which forms into a football, the next one contains a Billard ball with the "DP" on it, rolls in into a hole. Lastly the sport thing forms into a stylized "dp", "DUDEPERFECT" fades in after that.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Various sound effects corresponding to the actions happening in the intro as well as the same female announcer saying "Dude Perfect." yet again. A soundtrack accompanying the video can also be heard in the background.

Availability: Its debut appearance was on Boomerang Trick Shots and lastly on Boomerang Trick Shots 2. The intro started appearing again on Pickleball Trick Shots, now being used as an outro.

8th Logo (February 19-March 19, 2022)

Visuals: On a blue static background, there is a stylized "dp" as before, a cyan stylized "dp" gives a close-up to it. The entire logo is glitching out and reveals the opening scene.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A glitching sound effect with the same female announcer.

Availability: Likely a placeholder intro, considering the fact it only appeared twice and had the shortest lifespan out of all of the intros: Cup Trick Shots and Unpredictable Trick Shots 2.
