Background
Larry Santiago Productions was a Filipino film production and distribution company based in Manila with branch in Cebu City and founded in 1956 by Larry Santiago.
1st Logo (1956-1959)
Visuals: On a white-shadowed background, we see a moderate close-up shield with the words "Larry Santiago" in a cursive, hand-drawn font. Behind the text, there's a camera with 2 letters (LS); under the text, we see a ribbon saying "PRODUCTIONS, INC." and above the shield's outline we see 5 stars. Sometimes, the text "PROUDLY PRESENTS" would fade in.
Technique: None.
Audio: A three-note fanfare.
Availability: Seen on their films of the time, such as Ang Lo'Waist Gang at si Og sa Mindoro and Habagat sa Tag-Araw.
2nd Logo (1959-)
Visuals: On a sky background, the shield from before which is now redrawn, zooms in. The text "Larry Santiago" in a cursive font, slides from the top and the ribbon with "PRODUCTIONS, INC." appears below it.
Technique: Motion-controlled animation.
Audio: Same as the first logo.
Availability: Unknown.
3rd Logo (1978-1980)
Visuals: On a black background, we see the shield from before, but instead of yellow and green, it's red all over its details. It zooms in very slowly mainly beacuse it's far away from the screen and then it jarringly cuts to the opening scene of the movie.
Technique: Motion-controlled animation.
Audio: Same as above.
Availability: Seen on Mga Ani ni Angelita and other movies from the time.
4th Logo (January 26, 1979)
Visuals: On a blue smoked black background, we see the shield from before, but its outline is now green and there's no text nor ribbon. Suddenly, The text Larry Santiago on yellow, zooms out from the left side of the screen. Once it stops on the shield, the ribbon with the text "PRODUCTIONS INC", in orange and yellow, appears fading from the left on the button of the shield.
Technique: Cel animation.
Audio: An extended version of the three-note fanfare.
Availability: Seen on Roberta.
5th Logo (1980s)
Visuals: Unknown
Variant:
- A logo without any animation, exists. It's also the propotype version of this logo.
- Color may vary.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: Same as the third logo but with different instruments and pitch.
Availability: Seen on Sisang Tabak, Diego Bandido, Return of Johnny Tanggo and Johnny Tanggo Rides Again.
