Draft:GDC Technology

Background

GDC Technology is a digital cinema solutions company founded in 1999, headquartered in Hong Kong.

1st (Known) Logo (2011?- )

Visuals: The logo starts off with a couple of test cards from a filmreel. It then suddenly cuts to a blue light streak rapdily going through a starfield until it hits a transparent surface, which causes that surface to have lots of orange lines form patterns all over it. The camera fades onto some more angles of that happening (one of them revealing that the surface is in fact the letters "GDC" in glass-like material) until the lines hit the top of the D. When that happens, some colorful lights and particles shoot out of the top, causing the background to change into a blue sky full of dandelion petals flying around. The camera focuses on them a bit before zooming out, revealing a transparent rectangle with the GDC letters inside it, separated by two dots. The rectangle is on a purple background with the text "Powering Your Digital Cinema Experience" below it, in silver. The rectangle then turns silver itself and the two dots emit some bright orange lights before the lights disappear.

Variant: Starting in 2021 (supposedly), the dandelion section is replaced by a new one featuring different orange particles on a black background, then orange streaks flying around before the current GDC logo forms.

Technique: Almost all CGI.

Audio: The sounds of the filmreel at the start, then a variety of whimsical sounds, choirs and instruments are heard. When the dandelions appear, a piano flourish with accompaniment from the other instruments plays, and when the GDC logo appears, a three-note jingle plays with a low string finish.
