Background

DQ Entertainment, also known as Dataquest Ptv Ltd. was an Indian animation studio owned by a 20% stake by Method Animation. DQ Entertainment was best known for working overseas animation for shows being made by Walt Disney Television Animation, Amberwood, etc. but has also produced their own shows, such as The Jungle Book and The New Adventures of Peter Pan. it was founded in 1987, and went bankrupt in 2020.

Logo (January 5, 2004-)


Visuals: On a red/orange background, there is an artist in a purple beret and glasses. He holds a paintbrush and pencil in his right hand and has his left hand outstretched. Underneath him are the letters "DQ" in red and the word "ENTERTAINMENT" (or "ENTERTAINMENT INTERNATIONAL LTD.") is underneath in a box in multicolored letters.

Variants:

  • On Potatoes and Dragons, the logo is in chroma-key, with the white parts removed.
  • On later shows from the company, the logo is in print form with the artist and "DQ" in a white circle. The word "ENTERTAINMENT" is shown underneath the circle.
  • Sometimes, the print logo could share the screen with other logos.

Audio: The closing theme of the show or silence.

Availability: Seen on various shows that they produced such as ToddWorld, The Large Family, Casper’s Scare School, The Little Prince, The Twisted Whiskers Show, Little Nick (2009), Maryoku Yummy, Iron Man: Armored Adventures, The Jungle Book and The Hive. Also seen on The New Adventures of Peter Pan, The Psammy Show, The Jungle Book Safari, Lassie and Zak Storm: Super Pirate.
