Background

Constant C Productions is the production company of ER creator Michael Crichton.

Logo (September 19, 1994-April 2, 2009)

Visuals: Over a black background, the logo starts with "constant" in white. Then next to it, a white rectangle with a lowercase "c" flashes into view. "PRODUCTIONS" fades in under "constant".

Variant: On HD, DVD, Pop and Max prints of season 5 and seasons 7-15 of ER, the logo is cropped to 16:9 widescreen. However, full-screen prints still have the logo's original 4:3 ratio (it should be worth noting that, with the expectation of the episode "ER Live" and the pre-1999 intros, the show was shot in 16x9 throughout its entire run, but the logo originated in 4x3).

Technique: CGI done by Pittard Sullivan.

Audio: In the first 12 seasons, it used the theme from the "Previously on ER" bumper which continues into the Amblin Television and Warner Bros. Television logos. The ending theme plays over starting with season 13. NBC airings use a generic theme and sometimes a voice over.

Audio Variant: On the pilot episode of ER, it's silent.

Availability: Appears on the long-running hospital drama ER. It is left intact on reruns and Max prints.
