Background

Company Pictures was a production company that was formed in 1997 by George Faber and Charles Pattinson after he left BBC Films. It was sold to All3Media in 2003. In 2012, the founding partners left the company. Pattinson went on to start New Pictures, while Faber went on to start The Forge.

1st Logo (November 10, 1998-April 8, 2001)

Visuals: On a blue metal sheet background, there's the text "COMPANY TELEVISION" in a spaced-out font with "COMPANY" in bold lettering. A copyright information is placed below it.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo is shared with other logos.
  • An earlier version exists, where the logo is on a black background.

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: None or the end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on The Young Person's Guide to Becoming a Rock Star, season 2 of The Lakes, Cor, Blimey!, North Square and Nicholas Nickleby.

2nd Logo (September 17, 2002-)

Visuals: On a white background, there is a silver coin spinning, with the black word "company pictures" next to it. The coin then stops spinning, and then the text shines. The logo is surrounded by a black box.

Bylines: Starting in 2004, the byline was added.

  • 2004-2013: "an ALL3MEDIA company",
  • 2013-2021: "anall3mediacompany"
  • 2021-present: "An All3Media Company"

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo shares the screen with other logos.
  • Sometimes, the background is black and the text in white.
  • Most of the time, the logo is still.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: None or the end theme of the show.

Availability: Virtually saved on all Company Pictures shows, like Shameless, Skins and the 2020 version of Van Der Valk, among others.
