Background

6 Point Harness is an American animation studio that was founded in 2003 by Brendan Burch in Los Angeles, California.

1st Logo (June 10-July 29, 2006)

Logo: On a red background with fire, a large bug-like creature (presumably a cockroach) comes up from the bottom of the screen. A black transparent bar is seen with "SIX POINT HARNESS" on it, stacked with the text moving to their positions. Suddenly, the creature takes over the camera, shaking the scene. The whole scene then turns blue then zooms out and returns to normal color.

Technique: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: The first two seconds of the 2nd logo for Imperial Entertainment Group. It was likely that Six Point Harness used Imperial's logo theme without the company's consent.

Availability: Only seen on early episodes of the short-lived MTV2 show Where My Dogs At?.

2nd Logo (October 27-December 29, 2011)

Logo: On a red fuzzy background, we see the text "6 point harness" in an 1980s font. Inside the circle of the number 6 is the seatbelt of a car. The word "STUDIOS" appears itself.

Technique: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: Just the sound of the film projector.

Availability: Seen on MTV series, Good Vibes and their 2011 reel.

3rd Logo (September 17, 2013-2015)

Logo: On a gray background, a red belt streaks. We zoom in and more red belts streak, eventually filling the screen red when the screen zooms to one of the belts. The company logo from the previous logo forms on the red background before zooming in slightly.

Variant: There exists a short version starting with the text forming.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: The opening/closing theme of the film/TV show.

Availability: Rare. Seen on Dick Figures: The Movie and the failed pilot Everstar.

4th Logo (December 4, 2016-August 13, 2017)

Logo: On a black background with blue smoke, a bright flash emits from inside the "6" of the company logo that was used from the previous two logos (along with a stylized "PH", but "OINT" and "ARNESS" are removed), which looks retro and is orange. The flash dies down which reveals that the flash came from the belt inside the "6". Underneath the logo has the text "SIX POINT HARNESS" in a different font and in the same color as the logo.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Rare. Seen on Apollo Gauntlet.

5th Logo (June 9, 2018)

Logo: Just the 6 Point Harness logo, sharing the screen with Disney Digital Network, Mercury Filmworks and Atomic Cartoons logos.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme.

Availability: Seen on Legend of The Three Caballeros.

6th Logo (April 1, 2020-February 1, 2023)

Logo: On a black background, we see the drawn lines in a flashing effect and it zooms in to reveal the same company logo from the 4th logo. Then the word "SIX POINT HARNESS" in the same text from the 4th logo appears underneath.

Variant: On Tig Notaro: Drawn, the logo is still.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: None or the closing theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on season 2 of Lazor Wulf, the pilot episode of Smiling Friends ("Desmond's Big Day Out"), and the HBO special Tig Notaro: Drawn.

7th Logo (February 1, 2023-)

Logo: On a black background, we see drawn lines similar to the 6th logo, however this time, they are multi-colored. In front of the background, glowing white lines draw the company logo from the 4th and 6th logos, once complete, the same text from the 4th and 6th logos fades in and an orange hexagonal bokeh appears in the background.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: None or the closing theme of the show.

Availability: So far it has only been seen on the failed pilot Oh My God, Yes! on Adult Swim
