Background

Xantera was an American video game developer formed in 1998 by several former Saffire Corporation employees. The company closed in 2001.

1st Logo (November 16, 1999-October 30, 2000)

Visuals: On a white background, there are five red vertical lines with a white "X" behind them and another red line crossing on the five lines forming what looks like a "X" shape. Below it, there is the word "Xantera", while above the caption "Developed by".

Technique: A still, sprite-based graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Test Drive 6, Test Drive Off-Road 3, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2000, Rocky Mountain Trophy Hunter, and CyberTiger for Game Boy Color.


2nd Logo (July 25-November 28, 2000)

Visuals: Over a white background, there's the "X" shape from before, but this time with a drop shadow. Above the logo on the top right there's the caption "Developed by" while below, on the bottom right, the word "Xantera".

Variant: On Test Drive 2001, the text is orange.

Technique: A still, sprite-based graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Looney Tunes Racing, Test Drive 2001, and Test Drive Cycles for Game Boy Color.
