World Video Pictures

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Background

This was a Los Angles based video distributor.

1st Logo (1983-1987?)

Visuals: On a white background there is a blue wireframe globe surrounded by a yellow outline. A giant green "V" is in the center of the glove. "WORLD VIDEO PICTURES, INC." is below the globe in black.

Technique: Still digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Audio Variants: On an issue of Smokey and the Hotwire Gang, audio from the closing theme of Gimmie a Break, including that of the third Alan Landsburg Productions logo is heard. It's likely World Video Pictures used a second-hand tape for their master.

Availability: Appeared on Smokey and the Hotwire Gang and The Only Way Home, among others. World Video seemed to primarily distribute horror and exploitation films.
