Background

Wave Master Entertainment (originally Sega Digital Media) is the record label of Sega Sammy Holdings. It was originally established in 1993 as a studio within Sega under the name Sega Digital Media. Due to the 2000 restructuring, the studio was established under the Wave Master name. This lasted until 2004, when the development team moved back to Sega, leaving Wave Master as a record company. The company provides soundtracks for a variety of franchises owned by the Sega Sammy Group, including the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
