Videomega Entertainment was originally formed on November 9, 1987 by Eduardo Guiterrez, Fernando Hector Guevara, Hector Daniel Jacobo Yankelevich and Jose Luis Morea, in partnership with Video La Rioja, S.A., who owned partner LK-TEL Video. The company had distribute low-budget "Class B" titles from Columbia, TriStar, Orion Pictures, Carolco and Vestron Video. On June 4, 1991, the company was renamed itself as Video Omega S.A. by Eduardo Novello Astrada, Francisco Carlos Schimpl, Horacio Eduardo Pasman and Valentin Martin Romero, to continue distributing films from Columbia TriStar. The company eventually dissolved in 1995.

1st Logo (Spring 1989-1991)

Visuals: On a black background is the blue text "VIDEΩMEGA ENTERTAINMENT" flip towards the center of the screen. "VIDEΩMEGA" is set in a large font and the "E" and "M" in "VIDEΩMEGA" are italicized. "ENTERTAINMENT" is much smaller and is beneath the former text. The logo for "RCA/Columbia Pictures Video swoops down from the omega symbol and it overtakes the entire screen. Note that the latter logo is slightly different than the more familiar one since the area where the Columbia Pictures logo is much larger and is completely flat below. The logo remains on screen for the remainder of the logo.

Later Variant: In 1991, the RCA/Columbia Pictures logo merely appears after the Videomega logo flips in.

Technique: Computer graphics.

Audio: Same as the 2nd LK-TEL Video logo.

Availability: Seen on international prints of RCA/Columbia Pictures material.

2nd Logo (1991-1995)

Visuals: There is the Videomega text from VideΩmega Entertainment logo no. 1 (this time in aquamarine) swooping down from the top of the screen leaving behind some particles. It settles down in the center and a large slash forms beneath it.

Technique: Analog computer animation.

Audio: A synth theme with a whoosh sound when the slash is formed below the logo.

Availability: Spotted on Vestron Video releases in Argentina.
