Hello Everyone. My Name is TechBlitz!

I am an Australian film buff and home media collector. From 2016 to 2021, I even struggled to get a Logo Evolution series down! Feel free to talk to me at my social page.

Featured Logo Finds

Eureka Video

Where: This is an exceedingly rare logo from a now-defunct home entertainment company; Eureka Video (The Australian branch, not the British one). The reason I thought it was "exceedingly rare"? It lay undocumented for basically 20 years until I found it on a DVD of 'Night of the Living Dead'. Other releases from the time may have also had this logo, but we're currently not sure.

Turner Feature Animation

Where: This was an interesting find! The Turner Feature Animation logo but they removed 16 letters! It was only seen on the Cats Don't Dance Wrap Party tape, mainly meant for the crew working on said film.

Gaumont (Early 20th Century/Films Cinema)

Gaumont Films Cinema

Where: This blue arrangement of the daisy only has the G of Gaumont. I found this on the 1908 film Le Tic.

Gaumont (Early 20th Century)

Where: This is from a film called La femme doit suivre son mari, which featured a blue version of the classic daisy print.

BBC Video

Other Logo Finds

Madman Entertainment

2nd Logo

Where: Can be seen on the Special Edition DVD of Akira, which is also in the Blu-Ray set. A version of the early 2000s Madman Entertainment logo with a white glow, previously undocumented.

BBC Video

Where: This logo is not rare in the slightest, but a DVD quality version of the BBC Video closers is. This can only be seen on a 'Panasonic Exclusive' DVD of Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave, most likely using the same master as the VHS.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment

2nd Logo

Where: A very interesting find to be sure, this could only be found on a single Blu-Ray; the World of Wonder Calibration Disc. As far as I know, it was never given a proper retail release.

Disney DVD

2nd Logo

Starting on the first half of 2020, I was on a mission of collecting every international variant of the first Disney DVD logo, using sites like archive.org and even official DVDs in certain areas, this includes both the fullscreen and widescreen variants too. As of 2024, most of the international variants have been found except for the Croatian and Slovenian variants. It's currently unknown if these variants actually exist or they were just made up.

Most of these finds were from specific Baby Einstein DVDs that i found on archive.org. As for other DVDs, that's another story entirely.

  • The Mandarin variant can be seen on the region 1 DVD of Mulan, using the widescreen version, while a fullscreen version can be seen on a region 3 DVD of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. As for the region 4 release of Mulan, it featured a widescreen version of the Arabic and Bulgarian variants.
  • The widescreen Korean variant I found on archive.org much like every other Baby Einstein find, the person who uploaded it stated that they found it on the DVD for Home on the Range, however it could be the Region 3 DVD, because the normal American release only has French for an alternate language.
  • The Greek version I found on Language Nursery, the Czech variant was also on the same disc, both being fullscreen.
  • The extremely rare Icelandic and Thai variants were seen on Baby Mozart.
  • The Hungarian variant is pretty uncommon, I found it on the region 4 DVD of The Lizzie McGuire Movie

Pixar Animation Studios

1st Logo

The first 3 photos were found on the Christmas Videos seen on the Made in Point Richmond DVD.

  1. Just the 1986-1990 Pixar symbol on a black background
  2. A bigger version of the symbol with text over it.
  3. The same symbol but on a grey/white gradient.

The last 2 photos were seen on a sales pitch for Pixar, released in 1990.

  1. Tinny from Tin Toy can be seen on the right side on a white background, with the Pixar print logo on the top-left hand side and a copyright stamp on the bottom-left hand side.
  2. On a black background, the Pixar print logo, address and phone number can be seen.

Gaumont British

Where: I magically found these 2 Gaumont British logos from a 1940s film called High Flyers (Excerpts from the feature film production Flying High, not the 1980s film).
