Background

Ultimate Play the Game was a British video game developer and publisher founded in 1982 by Tim and Chris Stamper. They released video games for the popular home computers at the time, such as the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad CPC.

In 1985, the Ultimate catalogue and name was sold to US Gold, and the company that formerly used the name would become Rare.
