Background

Tom Lynch Company is a television production company founded by Thomas W. Lynch after renaming it from Lynch Entertainment. It was later renamed to Tom Lynch Company Studios.

1st Logo (October 6, 2001-August 20, 2016)

Visuals: The logo starts with Thomas Lynch's shadow standing on a patch of grass in the night sky, raising his hands as a spark flies from the left. There is the white text "tom lynch company", in Lucida Grande, wiping from the left.

Variants:

  • There's an earlier version where Thomas' shadow brings down his raised hands as a white comet flies down. When the comet disappears, it pushes to a green TV set in a blue scribble on a white background. Here, the name is typed in letter-by-letter in a different font, while the first initials are already on the screen in sky blue.
  • On Secret Central, the logo has a freeze-frame at the end, in which the company name (still written like in the early variant, but the black text is now white) fades in.
  • On Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension, the early variant is still and the words "in association with" is seen above it.
  • A later version features the word "studios" in Gotham font, wiping in with a spark. Also, "tom lynch company" appears early.
  • On Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures, the patch of grass is replaced with waves, and Thomas is shown pretending to surf on the waves. The text is also in a different font and the night sky is blue.
  • On some episodes of Romeo!, Thomas' raised hands and a white comet are different.

Technique: Cut-out animation; the Bucket & Skinner variant uses live-action for Thomas' shadow.

Audio: The Just Deal fanfare from the Lynch Entertainment logo. Sometimes, the closing theme of the show plays over it.

Availability: The original version was seen on seasons 2-3 episodes of Romeo!, season 2 episodes of Scout's Safari, Class of 3000 and South of Nowhere. Most of these shows are long gone from television, but it appears on Class of 3000 on iTunes. The early variant also plasters the previous logo on later airings of season 1 Scout's Safari episodes. The later variant was first seen on The Troop, and appears on later shows such as Make It Pop and The Other Kingdom. This logo allegedly made its debut on the short-lived TNBC series Sk8; however, no known archives of the show have turned up, so this has yet to be confirmed.

2nd Logo (September 13, 2003-June 26, 2004)

Visuals: The logo starts with Thomas Lynch standing on a patch of grass next to some trees outside, and the camera rapidly rotates counter-clockwise as the sky goes from dark to starry with a "flash" effect. Thomas then steps to his side to watch stars fall in the sky. As this happens, the translucent white text "TOM LYNCH COMPANY" zooms in and stretches at the bottom of the screen, then fades away to a still copy of the name.

Technique: Live-action, with computer animation for the company name.

Audio: Same music from above.

Availability: It only appeared on season 1 episodes of Romeo!, which last aired on BET and The N (now TeenNick) in 2008.

3rd Logo (May 5, 2023-)

Visuals: Same as the 1st logo, expect Thomas Lynch and the ground he is standing on is slightly changed and the night sky is replaced with the Earth in outer space with purple cosmic clouds with stars. Also, the company's name and font have been changed, now with a bluish font color and the word "studios" being removed.

Technique: Still-image with live-action.

Audio: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on the Netflix series I Woke Up a Vampire.
