Background

Today Home Entertainment was a defunct home video distributor that was founded by Adriana Shaw in 1986 to distribute titles on videocassette. The company went defunct in 1988.

1st Logo (1986-1987)

Visuals: On a blue background, there's the yellow word "THE" flying in from the screen and settle to the top right. The letters move and then it reveals the full words "Today Home Entertainment", typing in from the center of the screen, in the same font.

Technique: 2D motion animation.

Audio: None.

2nd Logo (1987-1988)


Visuals: On a blue background, a green grid draws in, then stretches and moves to the horizon, and the action then freezes. The words "TODAY HOME ENTERTAINMENT" fly in from the center of the screen, and the word "PRESENTS" is shown below. The text is shown zooming out.

Technique: Analog computer animation.

Audio: A majestic triumphant fanfare.
