Background

Tigon Studios is a video game developer founded in 2002 by Vin Diesel. The company is owned by One Race Films and is known for Wheelman, The Chronicles of Riddick games, and the infamous Fast and Furious Crossroads. The company was reactivated again by Vin Diesel in September 2013.

The company's name was derived from the Tigon, a portmantau of a tiger and a lion.

1st Logo (2004)

Logo: On a black background, we hear the sounds of growling. Suddenly, a tigon's face pops up, as its face moves. Then the tigon's face fades out as two dots move and form the Tigon Studios logo. The "T" then zooms up and stops.

Trivia: A tigon is a hybrid cross between a male tiger and a female lion, making it the opposite of a liger.

FX/SFX: TBA

Music/Sounds: Growling and roaring sounds, and a sliding ding when the logo shines.

Availability: Only seen on The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay for the Xbox and PC.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (2009- )

Logo: On a gradient black background, a tigon suddenly pops up and roars at the screen. It roars again, and two half arches come together forming the blue "T" from the previous logo. The "T" shines as well.

Variants:

  • A still version with only the logo shining appears on Wheelman and Riddick: The Merc Files.
  • The logo is still with no shining on Fast and Furious Crossroads.

FX/SFX: The tigon roaring, and the T.

Music/Sounds: Roaring sounds from the tigon, and a clash when the "T" forms, as well as a similar slide ding.

Availability: Uncommon. Can be found on Wheelman and The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC and Riddick: The Merc Files for iOS and Android.

Editor's Note: None.
