The Mo Willems Workshop

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Logo (September 17, 2020-)

Visuals: On a white background, an image of the Knuffle Bunny plush (from the Knuffle Bunny book series) inside the door of a washing machine zooms in. Shortly after, the machine is activated, spinning the plush around with it gradually becoming faster. In the middle of this sequence, the door zooms out and a "M" is revealed. The door transform into an "O" once it aligns with said letter. Shortly before this transformation, "the" pops up above and after all of that, "WiLLEMS" in a serif font appear one at a time and "WORKSHOP" comes into sight, swiftly zooming out by a small amount. Mo Willems' name shifts very slightly while the pigeon from the Pigeon book series arises from the "M", looking at the letters and then at the screen. He blinks two times before returning back inside the logo. The background, alongside "the" and "workshop" fades out, leaving just Willems' name on screen for the rest of its time.

Variant: A still variant exists.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A deep bong when the washing machine door stops zooming in. Afterwards, a jazz tune mostly consisting of percussions and pianos play, ending with a 7-note rock tune. Otherwise, it's the ending theme of the program.

Availability: Seen on Mo Willems: Don’t Let the Pigeon Do Storytime! and Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Underground Rock Experience.
