I don't think the Ultra Warp Speed Extended V of Steel is real

Our availability for this logo goes like this - "Extremely rare. Could probably be seen on earlier prints of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show and The Legend of Zelda.". "Could probably be seen" instead of "it was seen" doesn't inspire confidence in me.

Now, let's take a look at the source video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnS3cBhkFHs . It's a little dubious. 0 description about where the logo was found, and the OP hasn't commented further on it. A YouTube search for this logo yields this as the only result with the rest being regular Ultra-Warps, with one wipe.

Secondly, here's a mock from TVTA, showing how by speeding the regular logo up to 175%, you get a result that is exactly like the Ultra Warp Speed VoS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpDIO-MsNXU

I have a feeling that the "Ultra Warp Extended" V of Steel is just a capture of the regular 4 wipe V of Steel that has been sped up in video editing software, unless someone can provide definite proof that it exists. Luke2505 (talk) 21:37, 17 September 2022 (UTC)

Too many videos

I think we need to cut back on the video embeds on this page. My browser nearly kills itself when I try to load the page right now. Besides, I hardly think we need a combined total of fifty videos for the V of Doom, the V of Steel and the Glass Letters Hb1290 (talk) 05:21, 17 June 2021 (UTC)

Don LaFontaine

Is there any evidence to suggest he did the voiceover for the 1990 logo? · Talk · Edits 04:51, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
