Background: Take-Two is a prominent American publisher and developer of games, founded in 1993. They later acquired GameTek in 1997 and BMG Interactive in 1998, folding their publishing assets into the newly-created label Rockstar Games. Logo: On a white background, we see the words "TAKE 2", with a clapperboard under the number. Below are the words "INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE."
Variants:

  • On the CD version of Bureau 13, the clapperboard was seen clapping.
  • On Star Crusader, the background was black and shared with the GameTek logo.FX/SFX: None or the clapping effect.
    Music/Sounds: None.
    Availability: Rare. Seen on Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller, Bureau 13, Millennia, Maximum Roadkill and the black variant on Star Crusader.

Nickname: "Hell Hands"
Logo: Two skeletal hands hold a clapperboard with the name written on it, move and clap it. Then the background under the name paints purple. The intro follows.
FX/SFX: Plain movement.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Seen during the intro of the full version of Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller.

Logo: Several movie scenes are seen though the moving letters of the name. Then a closed gray clapperboard zooms in with the name, similar to the first logo, written on.


FX/SFX: The zooming.

Music/Sounds: Movie-styled soundtrack.

Availability: Only seen on Ripper.

4th Logo

(1995-1999)

Logo: On a black background, we see a flash of a yellow light from the bottom with water below, slowly revealing the logo similar to above (only with no clapperboard). After the logo is in place, the water fades out and the "TM" trademark symbol in a clapperboard flashes in.
Variant: On Space Station Silicon Valley, the logo is 3D and zooming-out.
FX/SFX: Light and water effects.
Music/Sounds: A dramatic entry with humming and single drumbeat.
Availability: Uncommon. Seen on Biosys, Dark Colony, the original Grand Theft Auto, and Alexi Lalas International Soccer. Also appears on Iron and Blood: Warriors of Ravenloft. The short version can be seen on Monkey Hero.

(1999-2005)

Logo: We see the orange "T" with a square "2" inside it. The name below reads like this: "TAKE2interactive".
Variants:

  • Some games have a still version of the logo.
  • The early version had the name written in two lines mostly on a black background.
  • On Action Bass, the logo fades in from white and the T is yellow.
  • Another version, seen on Rune for PS2, shows the logo animated, in which the logo's created from the green electronic grid.FX/SFX: Mostly none.
    Music/Sounds: None. On a few games there's a gunshot.
    Availability: Rare. Seen on Flying Heroes and Loco Commotion, among others. The white-BG logo was spotted on Stronghold. The gunshot version can be seen on Railroad Tycoon, Action Bass(with the early logo) andBall Breakers for PlayStation. The early logo can also be found on Grudge Warriors.

Logo: Various bubbles and planks fly to the white screen and form the logo - capital "T" letter with angular "2" attached to its center. The name

"TAKE2interactive" is written in one line. The picture is captured into frame.

Variant: On Carrera Grand Prix, we move to the logo over a racing field. The name is written on a banner board, and the letter lies on the road, then rises up. The action is seen though the frame.
FX/SFX: Flying bubbles and planks.
Music/Sounds: Short knocking-tune entry.
Availability: Rare. Seen on Saltwater Sportfishing and Big Bass Fishing for PS. The still version appeared on Moto Mania and City Crisis.

7th Logo

(2005)

Logo: Blue glass walls move around and form multiple "'T" and "2". They fold and become the logo with "'T2" colored in blue and white. The name "TAKE TWO INTERACTIVE" is created below by a flash.
FX/SFX: The glass walls moving. CGI animation
Music/Sounds: Crystallized soundtrack.
Availability: Extremely rare. Was seen on Sacred. Though this picture seems current, Take-Two doesn't use their name in game publishing anymore, preferring to engage pocket labels Rockstar and 2K Games. The still version of this logo was spotted on the European release of DT Racer for PS2.
