Background

Taffy Entertainment was founded in 2004 to assist Mike Young Productions in distributing their programs. It was partially owned by the latter company and was eventually acquired by MoonScoop in 2006. Taffy was folded into MoonScoop in March 2009.

1st Logo (2004-2006)

Nicknames: "Bouncing Word", "Taffy!"

Logo: Against a blue background, the word "TAFFY" in a rounded, white bubble font with several colors in it, slowly slides from the right side of the screen, and bounces afterwards. The text "ENTERTAINMENT" in white fades in.

FX/SFX: The "TAFFY" text sliding and bouncing.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show and/or a stretching sound.

Availability: Rare. Appears on Mike Young Productions shows from 2004 to 2006, such as season 1 of ToddWorld and season 1 of Pet Alien. Seasons 1 and 2 of Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks also had this logo, but the logo is normally not seen whenever the show reairs. Don't expect this to appear in season 1 of Dive Olly Dive!, because the show's first season had the 2006-2009 logo instead. This logo is normally plastered over with the next one on DVD releases.

2nd Logo (2006-2009)

Nicknames: "Taffy Crescent", "MoonScoop Crescent"

Logo: Against a white background, the word "Taffy" slowly slides from the top of the screen, then bounces. A swinging yellow crescent, which is the same one as the MoonScoop logo, appears behind. The text "ENTERTAINMENT" in a box moves in, making the "y" letter bounce. Then, the MoonScoop byline fades in.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • A black background version exists on Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes and the last two seasons of Code Lyoko.
  • The logo may be either squished or stretched.
  • On some shows like Code Lyoko, the logo is shown via split screen with other production logos.
  • On the first season of Dive Olly Dive!, the MoonScoop byline was replaced with "presents MYP Programs".

FX/SFX: The letters jiggling, the slide-in of "Entertainment", the appearance of the MoonScoop crescent, and the fade-in of the byline.

Music/Sounds: A stretch sound, followed by a boing, some cartoon sound effects, and a ding.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • Sometimes, it plays the ending theme of the show or silent.
  • On Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, it uses a 7-note guitar riff from the show.

Availability: Uncommon. Can be found on many MoonScoop shows produced from 2006-2009, like Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, I Got a Rocket! (TV series), Growing Up Creepie, the English (US) dub of Mix Master: King of Cards, season 2 of Pet Alien, and later seasons of Code Lyoko. The still version appears on Code Lyoko games for NDS and PS2 and on Pet Alien for NDS. Also found on Cosmic Quantum Ray, season 2 of ToddWorld and season 1 of Dive Olly Dive!. Don't expect to see this logo on season 3 of Jakers! The Adventures of Pigley Winks or season 1 of Chloe's Closet (because they were both produced by Mike Young Productions). Can be found on numerous DVD releases of MoonScoop material as well.
