Background

Supercell is a Finnish video game developer known for producing the hugely popular freemium mobile games Hay Day, Boom Beach and Clash of Clans as well as Clash Royale and Brawl Stars. The company was formed in 2010 and produced the little-known game Gunshine.net, before moving onto mobile titles and gaining more success. In 2013, 51% of the company was purchased by Japanese company GungHo Online Entertainment.

Variant:

  • On Clash-A-Rama!, the logo appears slightly grungy.
  • During the company's 10th anniversary, after the logo flashes onto the screen, the logo fades away and a stylish birthday cake with a number 10 in it appears.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A quick 5-note synth-piano glissando.

Audio Variants:

  • On Brawl Stars, a different take on the synth-piano glissando was used.
  • On Clash-A-Rama!, multiple voices says "Supercell" simultaneously.

Availability: It debuted on Hay Day, and appeared on their other games by companies, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, Clash Royale, Brawl Stars, etc. Appears on TV commercials and phone ads for their games.
