Background

Spellbound Entertainment was a British independent children's media company founded in 2001 that co-produced and distributed the TV series The Koala Brothers. It was ran by Peter Curtis and Nick Barrington.

In 2013, Spellbound entered liquidation and eventually ceased operations. Curtis and Barrington went on to found a new business, Nurture Rights. As for Spellbound's only series, The Koala Brothers, in February 2014 the series was acquired by holding business Koala Brothers Ltd., a partnership consisting of the show's creator David Johnson (who ran Famous Flying Films) and animation veteran Denis Russo.

As of 2022, Koala Brothers Ltd. handles all copyrights and trademarks to the series.

Logo (1 September 2003-31 October 2007)

Visuals: On a white background is the red word (with a yellow shadow) "Spellbound", written in a childlike font. A yellow star comes from behind it and spins to the right of the logo. As it does this, it leaves a red trail around the logo (slightly resembling a lowercase cursive E). Below is the text "Distributed worldwide by Spellbound Entertainment Limited" in red.

Variant: On The Koala Brothers: Outback Adventures for the GBA, the logo is bigger, moved upwards, still and slightly pixelated. Copyright information is seen below.

Technique: 2D animation. None for the GBA variant.

Audio: The ending theme of the show. None for the GBA variant.

Availability: Seen on The Koala Brothers and its game The Koala Brothers: Outback Adventures.
