Background

Shooting Star Video was a home video label that was part of Studio Entertainment that was formed along with Off Hollywood Video. It went defunct in 1990 when Studio Entertainment closed its doors.

Logo (1989)

Visuals: On a black background are the pink words "Shooting Star", and a star with a comet flies in and slides over. A white circle fades in, which represents the moon, and the logo slowly zooms in. The yellow arched words "VIDEO" fades in below the moon. The star then sparkles.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A four-note synth theme, ending with a chime.

Availability: Seen on the 1989 VHS release of Fright House.
