Background

Schaefer/Karpf Productions was a company formed by George Schaefer and Merrill H. Karpf to produce TV movies. George Eckstein would eventually join the company, renaming it "Schaefer/Karpf/Eckstein Productions" from 1987-88. Eckstein eventually left the company, returning it to its original identity until its closure in 1990.
