Background

Sammy Studios was originally formed in 2001 as Sammy Entertainment, as an American subsidiary of Sammy. After a year, it was renamed to Sammy Studios, and concentrated on localizations of Japanese video game titles. After Sega merged with Sammy in 2004, it was sold to a management group led by president and CEO John Rowe, and renamed to High Moon Studios in 2005.

1st Logo (September 9, 2003)

Visuals: Same as the 1998 Sammy logo, except one it was finished, the "S" and "Sammy" shifted up to the left, and moved the text to the right and the text "Studios" fades in.

Technique: Same as the Sammy logo.

Audio: Same as the Sammy logo, but a rock noise was added at the end.

Availability: Only seen on the American PS2 release of Lethal Skies II.

2nd Logo (March 12-August 31, 2004)

Visuals: Same as the 2004 Sammy logo, but the end result is the background turns black, and the text is white, and it reads "Sammy Studios" at the end.

Technique: Same as the 2004 Sammy logo.

Audio:

  • Seven Samurai 20XX: Same as the 2004 Sammy logo.
  • Spy Fiction: A deep synth drone with whooshes, and several synth notes as the letters appear.

Availability: Seen on the American PS2 release of Seven Samurai 20XX and Spy Fiction.
