Background

This was the production company of writer Rob Thomas (not to be confused with the singer). It was later renamed Spondoolie Productions.

Logo (September 22, 2004-April 30, 2011)

Visuals: On a half orange-black background, three black mice in fetters walk and do the conga line at the former half. On the latter half of the screen are three gray trapezoids that the mice stop at. The company name overlaps the first two trapezoids when it fades in. "PRODUCTIONS" is in yellow, while "Rob Thomas" is in white.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A 7-note brass stinger composed by Josh Kramon (based on the first few notes of the nursery rhyme "Three Blind Mice"), followed by the mice yelling "Hey!".

Audio Variants:

  • On the first four episodes of season 1 of Veronica Mars, the fanfare is lower-pitched and the mice' voices are different.
  • On Veronica Mars starting with season 2, the audio is in PAL pitch.
  • Otherwise, it's the closing theme.

Availability: Seen on seasons 1-3 of Veronica Mars and the 2009 revival of Cupid. Also seen on the failed pilot of Little in Common.
