Background

Planning Office Wada is a Japanese video game developer and publisher that was formed in 1991 as Aprinet and it was renamed in 1993 to its name. It also had a label, Energy. In 1999, it was sold to American game publisher VR-1 Entertainment, which was renamed itself to VR-1 Japan.

1st Logo (February 19-December 3, 1993)


Visuals: On a white background, a red ball bounces from the screen, then it becomes flat, and then text p w and more colors appear.

Technique: CGI 2D animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen only on Jantoushi Dora Ou and Kikuni Masahiko no Jantoushi Dora Ou 2 for the Super Famicom.

2nd Logo (July 1, 1994)


Visuals: Over a white background is the text p w. A red ball jumps onto the blank space, and more colors appear, then it becomes flat before fades out.

Technique: CGI 2D animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen only on SFC game of Yuujin no Furi Furi Girls.

3rd Logo (October 15, 1994-April 26, 1996)


Visuals: Over a gray background is the text from before. A red ball rises and bounces from the screen, and more colors appear.

Variants:

  • An early version exists where the logo is gray colored.
  • A B&W version exists on Block Kuzushi GB.
  • Sometimes, the background is black and two colors are already appeared.

Technique: CGI 2D animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on later SFC games in Japan such as Block Kuzushi.
