Paramount Teleplex

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

(1997-2001)

Visuals: A ring of stars encircle the 1986 Paramount Pictures mountain on a rotated z-axis. The bars open up to reveal the mountain as well as the words "UNITED PARAMOUNT NETWORK" inside a white box. The logo crossfades into "PRESENTS" in a white, spaced out font. One of the stars transition the shot to an orange-tinted footage of rotating camera lens with "PARAMOUNT" and "TELEPLEX" zooming towards the screen. Additionally, blue copies of various elements from the Paramount logo are seen sliding behind the text. The screen flashes and a purple-tinted footage of a different camera lens footage is shown. The company logo is then shown alongside the flying stars on the bottom above it.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A synth orchestra fanfare.

Audio Variant: There is a voiceover variant featuring a male announcer.

Availability: It was seen on UPN airings of movies from this period such as Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
