Background

This was the host broadcaster for the Olympic Winter Games Albertville '92 which was set up by the Albertville Olympic Organizing Committee (COJO) and Antenne 2/FR3. For the first time in Olympic history, a host broadcaster was expressly created for each of the 1992 Olympic Games, instead of delegating responsibility to a national host broadcaster.

Visuals: On a starry night sky, the words XVI JEUX OLYMPIQUES D'HIVER (XVI Olympic Winter Games) appear in gold. Then, it fades into a map of Europe with some mountains located in the area France is located. Then, a golden torch appears flying through the mountains. Then, footage of people playing Winter Olympic sports are shown in the mountains. Finally, another gold torch appears at one of the mountains while the flying one passes its flame. Then, it fades into a wavy blue background as the Albertville '92 logo is shown.

Technique: A mix of CGI animation with live-action footage.

Audio: Calm orchestrated music.
