Orchids International

Logo (1985)

Visuals: There is a close up of a light blue, conjoined circle and rectangle trail sliced up (ala the 1977 Time-Life Television logo) as it moves from the bottom to the center of the screen. The trail then zooms out, showing a shaded section of the two merged shapes. Then, "Orchids International, Inc." appears with a light revealing the whole text before "presents" fades in underneath and bursts with its shine spinning. The entire logo shines as well before "presents" disappear. The logo bursts a few more times, including that of the "presents" text, before dipping to black.

Technique: Typical 80's computer effects.

Audio: A drum roll for the first half. When "presents" appears, a funky and bombastic fanfare is heard.

Availability: So far, it was seen on an American print of Flying Sex Man.
