Background

Opticoacoustici was a broadcasting technology company founded by George Karapanagiotis in 1986. In later years, it expanded its activities with DVD authoring, dubbing and subtitling.

Logo (Early 2000's)

Visuals: On a black/dark blue background, there is a giant glowing DVD fly towards the screen, rotating sometimes. The DVD obscures the screen as it rotates for one more time, and a blue diagonal streak flies in, followed by a green one and a red one. The text "ΟΠΤΙΚΟΑΚΟΥΣΤΙΚΗ" (AUDIO-VISUAL) in a small white font zooms in, with the text "ΤΗΛΕΟΠΤΙΚΕΣ ΕΠΙΧΕΙΡΗΣΕΙΣ" (TELEVISION BUSINESSES) appears below. The DVD shines a bit more, and the logo fades to black.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A hum, a series of high-pitched beeps, a drum/harp as the DVD rotates close to the screen, three notes in sync with the streaks, a hum and some more synth beeps.

Availability: While some of the DVDs it can be found in (from the likes of Arcadia and Aris Ekdotiki) are no longer available, Joconda Video DVDs with this logo are easier to come across.
