Background
Omnimax Theaters was a branch of IMAX theaters from Illinois.
Logo (1991)
Visuals: It starts off with a wormhole (similar to the IMAX logo but differently animated). When it reaches the end of the wormhole, there is a flash of light. After the flash, there are the words zooming out saying "OMNIMAX" above and "THEATER" below. There's a large crescent surrounding the O. Above it, there is some text, which is unidentified (as the only known capture of it has been cropped and recorded 45 degrees sideways).
Technique: Slitscan animation by Graphic Films.
Audio: Whooshing sounds, and the ascending loud chord, sounding similar to THX's "Deep Note".
Availability: Was known to play during IMAX screenings at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry.
