Background

Oliver Productions was the vanity card for John McLaughlin. The company didn't have an on-screen logo until at least 1995.

Logo (1995-August 12, 2016)

Visuals: On a white background, a cartoon rendition of Oliver which is a white Basset Hound with brown spots, is seen zooming towards the left side of the screen. A large green "O" spins, and shifts to the left. As it stops spinning and shifting, "LIVER PRODUCTIONS, INC." appears next to it. The "O" is larger than the rest of the letters in "OLIVER", while "PRODUCTIONS, INC." is smaller. Inside the "O" is Oliver, which barks once.

Trivia: Oliver was the name of John McLaughlin's pet dog, which his company is named after.

Technique: Traditional animation for Oliver and scanimation for the text.

Audio: The sound of Oliver barking once.

Availability: Seen on post-1995 episodes The McLaughlin Group and John McLaughlin's One-on-One. Both usually had WTTW's logo of the time coming after if you watched it on PBS (except when you saw The McLaughlin Group on one of the NBC O&Os that air it, as the WTTW logo won't be shown there, so it's a hard call). Although the episodes from both series only air once and never again with no physical media and not even on streaming services, as they are talk shows, they can be found through old recordings and studio archives.
