Nikndaph Productions

Background

This is the vanity plate of Norman Steinberg, named after his son Nik and daughter Daphne.

Logo (June 12, 1989-October 16, 1991)

Visuals: On an off-white background, there is a pastel drawing of a boy (presumably Nik Steinberg) wearing a blue suit with a red necktie and gray pants, and with his left arm around a little girl (presumably Daphne Steinberg). In front of the drawing, there is the name "NiKNDAPH PRODUCTIONS". "NiKNDAPH" is in a large, colorful crayon lettering, while "PRODUCTIONS" is underneath in a small white font.

Variants:

  • On Teech, the text "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" is seen below the name.
  • On Steel Magnolias, "A" and "and" are seen above and below the name respectively.

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: Either the closing theme, a calm, three-note synth theme, or a little boy saying, "Way to go, Dad!", followed by a man saying, "Okay, thank you", with a filming crew clapping and cheering in the background.

Availability: This was seen on Doctor, Doctor, which can be streamed on CTV Throwback. It was also seen on Teech and the failed pilot of Steel Magnolias.
