Background

Musafar Video & CDs is a home entertainment company based in Peshawar, Pakistan, which distributes Pashto-language films and music.

1st Logo (2000s)

Visuals: On a black background, multiple copies of a video animation containing a sunset sky with a skyline shot of a mountain and palms, a Fox-style platform at the bottom, and the rotating texts of "MUSAFAR" at the bottom and "TEL: 217317" at the top, appear in form of a curve path from the left to the center-bottom of the screen, and then the camera zooms into the nearest one as it takes up the screen completely. "MUSAFAR" is shown moving to above, and "TEL: 217317" moves to the bottom, while the blue "VIDEO & CDS" drops down flipping into the bottom of "MUSAFAR", and the green "PESHAWAR" zooms in rotating, placing itself at the bottom of "VIDEO & CDS". The finished logo then remains on-screen for a while, before a transition occurs on a purple cloudy background where the video zooms out facing to the left while another copy of the video zooms in from the left into the screen. The logo remains still for a while, before another transition effect occurs, where a sphere containing the image of the logo navigates and bounces through a grainy tunnel with multiple curves. The tunnel ends and the sphere drops down to the bottom, while the logo is again revealed. At the end, one final transition occurs, with the logo zooming out as a screen of a yellow retro TV and table. The screen of the TV begins rotating vertically as the whole thing moves away to the upper-right side of the screen.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Two instrumental themes are known to exist with this logo; one has Pashto-style music and another uses a more generic filmi instrumental.

2nd Logo (2000s)

Visuals: On a black background, the following words are seen zooming out and rotating away from the screen: "Musafar" in light yellow, "PESHAWAR" in green, and "TEL: 2217317", which slowly turns from white to red. Behind those words, the blue "CD & DVD HOUSE", which has a cloudy texture, zooms in rotating in-between "Musafar" and "PESHAWAR" as these place. All the texts then settle at the center for a while, before the animation plays in reverse.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: "Afghani Kataghani Saaz" by Wali Dad.
