Mister Rogers Home Video

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Logo (1980s-1990s)

Visuals: Over a royal blue/white gradient background is the familiar trolley from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood at the left of the screen moving toward the camera. Then, it turns to the right, causing "MISTER ROGERS" in gold and in the familiar logo font to appear. As the trolley disappears off the screen, "HOME VIDEO" appears below, also in gold. Then, the trolley re-emerges from the top right of the screen, looking more distant, and moves toward the center, stopping at the top of the text.

Technique: Traditional cel animation.

Audio: Just the familiar low piano loop played whenever the trolley moves (along with its chiming), and a piano flourish is heard when "HOME VIDEO" appears. When the trolley stops moving, the music does, too, and it chimes a few more times.

Availability: Seen on videos of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.
