Background
MTO Co., Ltd., known in full as Motorsports Software Technical Office and stylized as M2to, is a Japanese video game developer and publisher founded on May 28, 1996 and is based in Yokohama.[1]
1st logo (January 15, 1998-May 11, 2000)
Visuals: On a brick wall covered with vines of some kind, there is a rich brown, wooden sign with the company logo, which is in yellow and consists of the text "M2to" in a handwritten font above a squiggly underline that has a dot on its bottom right. The logo zooms into the sign before the scenery fades away to a white background and the logo changes colors, with the "M" becoming dark green, "2to" and the underline becoming grey and the inside of the "o" becoming red. On top of the underline is the black text "MOTORSPORTS SOFTWARE TECHNICAL OFFICE".
Technique: Prerendered CGI.
Audio: The sound of a car engine being started.
Availability: Seen on Option Tuning Car Battle, Naniwa Wangan Battle, Option Tuning Car Battle 2 and Option Tuning Car Battle Spec-R.
2nd logo (October 15, 1999-November 13, 2014)
Visuals: On a white background and inside a box with a black outline is the same colored MTO logo from the previous logo.
Variants:
- Starting with GT Advance Championship Racing, the company's full name is added below.
- Some games, particularly the company's more children-oriented titles such as Nakayoshi Pet Advance Series: Kawaii Hamster, Daisuki Teddy and Nakayoshi Pet Advance Series 2: Kawaii Inu, lighten the logo's colors.
- Starting with the Nintendo DS version of Dogz, a black byline reading "Everybody Loves" is added above the box. On some releases such as Oshare na Koinu DS and Shunsoku Mezase! Zenkoku Saikyou Runner, a string of wavy, pink Japanese text reading "み〜んな楽しい" is added above the aforementioned byline.
