Lottery Hill Entertainment

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Background

This company was ran by actor and comedian Michael J. Fox. It was named after a farm he owned in South Woodstock, Vermont, whose original owner bought after winning the lottery.

Logo (September 17, 1996-2003)

Visuals: On a white background, there is a still drawing picture of three green grassy hill tops, a red barn on the first hill and two small trees on the second. Between a blue highlighted line, the black letters "LoTTeryHill" (with the "T"s attached to each other) are seen, and between a purple highlighted line are the smaller black letters "ENTERTAINMENT".

Technique: A still, possibly hand-drawn image, with added digital text.

Audio: A short country style guitar roll is played followed by a male voice (Fox himself) saying "moo". ABC airings from 1998-2000 used its generic theme.

Audio Trivia: The "moo" soundbite is meant to be a friendly jab at the Ubu Productions logo; Ubu was the company behind Spin City and another Michael J. Fox vehicle, Family Ties. He joked, "If I’d had more time, I would’ve said, ‘Good cow.’"[1]

Availability: Seen on Spin City. Might’ve also been on the failed pilots of Anna Says, Otherwise Engaged and Hench at Home.
