Background

This is the production company of Larry A. Thompson.

1st Logo (September 24, 1985-Novmeber 27, 1989)

Visuals: On a red background, a picture of a coat of arms is shown within a white picture frame. Underneath is the stacked text "A LARRY THOMPSON PRODUCTION", also in a picture frame albeit a rectangular one.

Technique: A still, printed image.

Audio: The ending theme of the movie.

Availability: It was seen on the company's earlier TV movies starting with The Other Lover and ending with Little White Lies.

2nd Logo (February 10, 1991-January 19, 2000)

Visuals: On a dark green marble background, the coat of arms from before in gold slowly slides down and zooms out. Underneath it, there is the text "LARRY THOMPSON ENTERTAINMENT" in a stacked format. After the coat of arms freezes, it shines again.

Variants:

  • A slightly shortened variant exists, stopping before the coat of arms shines again.
  • On some TV movies, the background is darker.

Technique: Analog computer animation.

Audio: A six-note bombastic trumpet fanfare. Otherwise, the ending theme of the movie or a generic CBS theme.

Availability: It first appeared on Lucy & Desi: Before the Laughter and later appeared on Face of Evil, Replacing Dad, and Murder in the Mirror. TV movies from this period are more easy to find on home media and on-demand than the previous logo.

3rd Logo (March 28, 2010)

Visuals: On a red background, the text "Larry A. Thompson Organization" in a fancy font with a shadow effect deblurs and slowly zooms out.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The ending theme of the movie.

Availability: Only seen on Amish Grace.

4th Logo (November 25, 2012)

Visuals: Mostly a remake of the 2nd logo except it is now on a cracked concrete background and the company name now reads "LARRY A. THOMPSON PRODUCTIONS" with the latter word in white. The logo also shines differently where it reflects light rather than have star lights appear.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A faster rendition of the 2nd logo's fanfare.

Availability: Only seen on Liz & Dick.
